Rhosyn Pelydr Gwelwafon
"The youngest child of House Gwelwafon, Rhosyn is incredibly hardworking, honest, and observant. However, her social filter doesn't seem to always be the most... Sufficient. Even if she can lack tact, she is quite intelligent, and will surely take to your studies well." ~ Dimitri, describing Rhosyn to Byleth.

Profile
Personality
Rhosyn is incredibly book smart, and terribly clever. Give her a random object, and she can dismantle it and put it back together, or study its use and figure out its function, even if you have no clue how to use it. Hand her a book, and it will be digested in less than a day. Knowledge is a treasure to her, and she hoards that treasure with vigorous greed. Despite this theoretical greed, however, she adores sharing anything she learns, of course, but also owns. Coming from the lap of luxury, she doesn’t entirely understand the value of things, and throws her possessions and money around like it is infinite. While she is generous, she has a sense of learned arrogance, snottiness, and smugness that, while not malicious, can come across as unearned. This, however, comes from an incredibly strong work ethic. She’s done her best to get to this point, despite the advantages other nobles have in life, and the shitty slot in life she was born with, relatively speaking. So why wouldn’t she be proud? She deserves this. She worked for this. Though this also made her slightly callous, not thinking things through involving the feelings of others. She isn't trying to hurt anyone, though. She just doesn't understand.Acting with her heart on her sleeve, she will be brutally honest with how she feels, and has no time for lies or anything other than pure bluntness, making her intentions as clear as she can even with her sarcasm. She doesn’t like anything that isn’t glaringly obvious to her. She doesn’t want to play around with social norms, finding them pointless. She will not look people in the eyes, why would she? She’s speaking to them after all, so they already know that she’s talking to them specifically, even if she averts their gaze. Any and all contact, actually, is to be avoided. Fueled by her childhood, she doesn’t exactly want to be close to others physically. If she’s too close, her boisterous actions, and wild movements could accidentally hurt someone! And she doesn’t want to hurt anyone, even if her actions and callous attitude tend to portray otherwise.
Before Garreg Mach
Born to her father, the head of House Gwelwafon, Llyr Ceudwell Gwelwafon, and mother, a lowborn, Lowri Gwelwafon, Rhosyn cherished her parents, as well as her big sister and heiress to House Gwelwafon, Cafell Trugaredd Gwelafon, above all else. A sickly girl, born premature, her survival was seen as a miracle from the Goddess, miraculous and amazing, even if she developed occasional coughs and spontaneous dizziness. She even got to see the miracle of birth occur as her little brother, Watcyn Hambr Gwelwafon, was born. Life was content, happy, and amazing. However, tragedy began to strike, as Watcyn, born in the same conditions as Rhosyn, only got worse as he grew older. Eventually passing, and seeing she was similar, Rhosyn blamed herself for his death and fell into depression at a young age. And not the most medically gifted people, Llyr and Lowri, while caring for their daughter, felt she was correct, and ordered her to stay inside. While spoiling her as best they could, they forbid anyone from having physical contact with her, and only allowed sparse same room interactions with others. While almost everyone complied, Cafell refused to give up on her just like that. She would stay with her sister, teach her everything she learned and knew, as well as bringing her books and exercise tips. While she never became particularly healthy, Rhosyn did at least improve, mentally and physically, as well as gaining a strong interest in all things knowledge.Of course, Cafell could not stay by Rhosyns side forever, growing up. When Rhosyn was 11, and Cafell 16, Cafell left for Garreg Mach at their parents' insistence. Taking this time, Rhosyn would regularly sneak out to her familial library, and learn more. About the outside world, about nature, about the Goddess, anything she could wrap her mind around, she would learn. Additionally practicing, she awaited for the day Cafell would return. And return she did, even if something seemed strangely… Off about Cafell. No longer the cheerful and excited girl Rhosyn took after, Cafell seemed slightly dreary, prone to mood spikes and outbursts, especially to her father. However, she took care of Rhosyn just as well as she could, even teaching her about Dark and White Magic both, as well as the traditional lance arts of her family, at least behind the rest of her family's back.As Rhosyn turned 16, however, Cafell finally broke the news to the family. They were admittedly appalled, and fearful over training someone so sickly, who, while improving, never had the best health. However, Rhosyn joined her sister, not only saying it was fine, but asking… No, telling her father that she would become a Knight, just as Cafell had. Initially a barrage of nos and dismissals, over the months, Rhosyn began to worm her way into her parents' brains until they gave in. Assuming it would be little more than a game she would grow out of, and she’d come running home, they funded her entirely and set her off on the designated date.

Facts
— Rhosyn is on the Autism Spectrum, at ASD Level 1. Her form of stimming, when she needs to, usually involves sitting down and blinking, occasionally lightly hitting herself on the head.— Any time Rhosyn obtains a horse, she names it Coblynau. This comes from a local Gwelwafon legend involving a legendary Pegasus named Coblynau that, when treated kindly, blessed humans with good luck.— Rhosyn learned everything she knew about magic from her elder sister, Cafell. Though she wanted to go to the Fhirdiad School of Magic, she was of too poor health to go. Thus, Cafell taught her what she learnt from there.— Conversely, while Rhosyn had little interest in anything combat related but magic, Rhosyn learnt that too from Cafell. Even though she knew it wasn't Rhosyn's alley, she still wanted her to be prepared in case she got silenced.
